It was here on the hill that Burford Woodcraft began as a family business in 1978, offering a very different experience by specialising in contemporary British woodwork. The ethos is unchanged - high quality, affordable items handmade by new
and established designer-makers and artists. Everything is either beautiful or useful!
Robert (a furniture designer-maker) and Jayne Lewin know each craftsman and are able to choose and offer items with an emphasis on detail, outstanding design and quality of finish. Excellent craftsmanship and inventiveness are combined with wood’s natural versatility and warmth.
