DesignGAP
designGAP is an organisation promoting the contemporary
excellence of its carefully selected designer-producers and artist makers based in the UK. During the 30 years of its development designGAP has not had a permanent shop or gallery, instead it has become well known and well respected as a ‘nomadic’ and ‘virtual’ enterprise. It was, and is, the brainchild of Shirley Frost, the concept grew from her experience in marketing her own creative work.
At major trade fairs and some public events there are clusters or aisles of members’ stands. Most years an illustrated Directory of members is published, our 2011 one is viewable on:
www.designgap.co.uk. Hard copies could be purchased – watch out for our next issue in 2012.
